Clothes Show Live 2014

It's that time of year again, Christmas is approaching and it's time for the clothes show live. I have been lucky enough to travel up to the event for the past five years now. The place is always buzzing with activity and is a hive of creativity! My absolute favourite part of the day is the almost hour long fashion show, the show incorporates elements of dance, fashion and music. All these elements mixed together create a fabulous show that seems to fly by in about ten minutes!

What I love about this show is that they mix in high street clothes with up and coming designers, giving them the opportunity to showcase their stunning collections. The theme of the show this year was everything American, so there was everything from Wall Street to Times Square to Hampton beach. My absolute favourite part of the show was the finale disco scene catwalk, the sequins and layers of luxurious sheers won me over before the catwalk had even properly begun.

The show was as inspirational as ever and I left the arena excited to carry on with my fashion and art work. It reminded me of how alive and fast paced the world of fashion is; something that's quite easily forgotten when you're cooped up in the narrow world of A levels. The shopping opportunities are also fantastic here and I always manage to bag some insane bargains! The Rimmel stand was a particular favourite of mine this year; with over £30 worth of products for £10 how could I resist? Another favourite was a rainbow tie-dye hoodie that I picked up for £10. Perfect for snuggling into on lazy days at home either catching up on some art work or odd jobs - always the best days!
